Olivia

Olivia is a 2-3 year old, 40 lb female Weimaranner mix with a heart full of love to give! She was rescued in Saltillo, Mexico in September 2023 after being found in a dire condition, possibly with a spinal or hip injury, and abandoned by her owners. Despite her past, Olivia is a happy, independent, and incredibly grateful dog who loves to make people smile. She's full of life, playful, and always eager to share her affection.

Ideal Home

Olivia would do best as the only dog in the home. A family willing to give a rescued pet time to adjust and show their true personality (at least 3 months) is essential. A home with a fenced backyard and owners who understand the needs and behaviors of rescued animals, with experience in dog training and behavior, will help Olivia thrive. She also needs a family with high tolerance and patience.

Ongoing Health

Olivia is spayed, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and tested negative for heartworm. She receives monthly preventive treatment for fleas, ticks, and heartworms (Nexgard Spectra). A health certificate and vaccination booklet are available.

Training & Support

Olivia is not house-trained. The rescue does not have the capacity to house-train every animal. She will need consistent training and patience from her new family.

Transportation

Olivia is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico and is ready to travel to the East Coast of the US on a cross-country trip if adopted. Transport is available for an additional fee.
