Sanderson - Permanent Foster

Sanderson, also known as River, is a handsome medium-sized Boxer mix with a confident and athletic build. He's been with us since December 2025 and has become quite the character at the kennel. River is a high-energy dog who loves to play, especially with toys, and he adores carrying them around. His absolute favorite thing? Water! He'd be a fantastic companion for any water-based activities. River has a very goofy personality and knows some basic obedience. He enjoys playing games with the staff, like keep away. While he's dominant with other dogs, he's learning to manage his enthusiasm. He pulls quite hard on the leash, so he'd likely thrive as a running buddy for an active individual or family.

Ideal Home

River would do well in an active home where he can have plenty of opportunities to run and play, especially with water. He is dominant with other dogs and would do best in a home without them, or with a very dog-savvy owner who can help him manage his interactions.

Sanderson is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Sanderson pulls very hard on the leash and will need continued training and reinforcement to help him manage his excitement and learn to walk politely. He enjoys playing games like keep away, which can be a fun way to bond and continue his training.
