Lucie Bee, a 2 year, 7 month old female Golden Retriever (about 68 lbs), and her best friend Buddy, a 3 year, 8 month old Border Collie/Akita mix (about 50 lbs), are a wonderfully bonded pair who came to us after their family experienced a heartbreaking loss. Through all the changes in their world, they've held tightly to each other, like peanut butter and jelly! Buddy is the friendly, social charmer who believes everyone he meets is a friend. He's the more outgoing half, bringing a happy warmth wherever he goes. Lucie is Buddy's beautiful golden sidekick. She's a little softer and more sensitive at first, but once she settles in, her lovely personality shines. She draws comfort from Buddy, and he's happy to oblige. Buddy brings confidence, Lucie brings a gentle heart, and both bring a whole lot of sweetness.

Ongoing Health

Lucie is facing a medical hurdle and has been diagnosed with a torn CCL, which means she will need surgery. GRRAND will be looking for a medical foster for Lucie while she recovers.
