Raya is believed to be a Husky mix, approximately 1 year old, and currently weighs 48 lbs. She is a rescue dog, and with any rescue, it's always a mystery, and we cannot guarantee breed or age.

Ideal Home

Raya thrives on routine and consistency. She would do best with calm, respectful dogs who are content sharing a home without expecting friendship or play. She would be perfectly happy as the only dog, but could also live successfully with a mellow, low-energy doggy friend who understands and respects her gentle, independent nature.

Training & Support

Raya is crate trained (and truly loves her crate, it's her safe place) and fully potty trained. She has wonderful house manners. She is a quiet companion who prefers her own space and feels happiest when other dogs allow her to just do her own thing. She does not seek out interaction. To gain her trust, quality time, ear scratches, and food are key. She loves food, especially cheese, and takes treats gently.

Raya is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system. Transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). An $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
