Bear

Bear is a very special 3.5-year-old who has had a challenging background. His foster parents have put him through a 7-week board-and-train program and he is now working with an e-collar. He bonds deeply with his people and is naturally dedicated to his home and family. He is a protector, and extremely smart, which is why this breed is used by military and law enforcement. Bear is quick to learn and eager to please, thriving with structure and positive reinforcement. His striking looks are matched by his sweet, spirited personality. Bear is not just a pet— he’s a partner.

Ideal Home

Bear will flourish with an experienced owner who understands and appreciates the intelligence and drive of the Malinois breed, such as a retired military or police K-9 handler. Due to his protective nature and potential to be aggressive with strangers, he is not suitable as a family pet for children. He is also not a good fit for homes with cats or other dogs.

Ongoing Health

Bear is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Bear has completed a 7-week board-and-train program and is working with an e-collar. While docile and loving with his owners, he can be aggressive with strangers. His current fosters will work as long as needed with his new family to ensure a smooth transition.
