A little about them
Meet Freya, a sweet, playful, and adorably goofy Doberman who loves her people, toys, car rides, walks, and outdoor adventures. At 2.5 years old and 68 pounds, she is a loyal, gentle companion with a dignified appearance and a wonderfully funny personality.
Freya is an owner surrender after her family moved internationally for work and could not bring her along. Her three-year-old brother, Biscuit, is also available, though they do not need to be adopted together.
Freya enjoys quietly relaxing beside her people and is ready to be part of an active family. She loves running and playing with canine friends once she feels comfortable, and she is especially fond of squirrel-shaped toys. She notices squirrels on walks and has a strong prey drive, but responds well to “Leave It” and redirection. She is food motivated, which can help with continued training and confidence-building.
Ideal Home
Freya is friendly, gentle, loyal, curious, independent, and well-mannered. She is great with men, women, children of all ages, dogs, and cats in the home. She may be timid when first meeting unfamiliar dogs or entering new situations, so she will do best with a patient family willing to offer reassurance while she settles in.
An active household that enjoys walks, biking, hiking, running, or outdoor play would be a wonderful fit. A securely fenced yard would also give Freya space to stretch her legs and play. She can experience storm anxiety and some separation anxiety, so her family should be understanding and help her feel secure during thunderstorms and time apart.
Ongoing Health
Freya is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and on prevention. She has no known health concerns. A health certificate will be provided before transport.
Training & Support
Freya is house trained, crate trained, walks well on a leash, and sleeps comfortably in her crate at night. She knows Sit, Down, Come, Crate, Leave It, and House; when told “House,” she comes and sits between your legs. She loves car rides and is happy to join her family on adventures.
