Adira

Meet Adira, an 11-month-old German Shepherd with a heart full of love and a spirit that shines brightly. Adira was born with a severe congenital heart condition, and while she receives daily medication to keep her comfortable, her prognosis is unfortunately limited. She also has a slightly wobbly gait due to neurological differences, but this doesn't dampen her enthusiasm for exploring, playing, and snuggling with her favorite people. Adira can be a little shy at first, but with a little patience and kindness, she quickly blossoms into an incredibly affectionate and loyal companion. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats, making her a great addition to many households. Adira deserves to spend her remaining time in a loving home, enjoying all the comforts and joys of family life.

Ongoing Health

Adira has a severe congenital heart condition, including an atrial septal defect (ASD) and pulmonic stenosis. She takes atenolol daily. Her prognosis is limited, with an estimated 6 months to 2 years remaining. She also has a wobbly, unsteady gait.

Adira can be timid and shy when meeting new people; patience and kindness will help her trust and open up.
