Say hi to Larry! Larry and his brother, Gary, came into rescue together. Larry is a little timid of new people and experiences at first, but as soon as he realizes you're safe, or the toy is fun, or the bone is actually yummy, he is ALL IN. It'll only take you a day to win Larry over, and then get ready for so many kisses! Larry has medium energy and enjoys running around, wrestling his brother, and being outside. He does well with other low and medium-energy dogs, but likely wouldn't do well with high-energy dogs. Larry is potty trained and will whine for a few minutes before settling down at night. He grazes his food but could be trained to eat two meals a day if needed. He's picky about treats, preferring soft beef ones and good bones or chicken jerky strips. Larry has been around older children and does well, but there's no experience with young children or cats.
Ideal Home
Larry would ideally be adopted with his brother, Gary. If adopted separately, he would need a home with a confident dog to provide guidance.
Ongoing Health
Larry is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, including distemper, rabies, and bordetella. He is on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives and has had a heartworm test. He has also been dewormed and microchipped.
Training & Support
Larry is potty trained. He is still learning to adapt to new people and experiences and may take a day to warm up. He can be trained to eat two meals a day instead of grazing.
