This big, happy goofball is Apollo, an approximately 10-month-old German Shepherd / Great Pyrenees mix who currently weighs around 74 lbs. He's one of the sweetest and smartest young dogs you'll meet, with an estimated birthday of May 9, 2025. Apollo absolutely loves receiving hugs, soaking up all the pets, and simply hanging out with his people. He's a huge fan of running around outside, playing fetch, being chased, solving food puzzles, and chewing on sticks he finds in the yard. He also adores snow and is comfortable with regular grooming.
Ideal Home
Apollo would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and someone who works from home or can provide him with plenty of exercise and attention. He needs a cat-free home, as he gets too excited and plays too rough with them. He is best suited for an active family ready for his size and energy.
Ongoing Health
Apollo has had some digestive issues early on, which may have been a reaction to NexGard Plus. He is now doing great on Purina Sensitive Stomach food with added fiber and probiotics.
Training & Support
Apollo knows commands like sit, down, wait, shake, and crate, and he is mat trained. He is working on his leash walking after some cold-weather regression and is still improving on his "come" command. He is crate trained and can stay in his crate for several hours when needed. He can be high-energy and playful when it's time to play, but in the best way.

Transporation
All dogs are fostered in Texas and Wags transports twice a month. Transport is included in the adoption fees.
