Meet the breeder
Meet Sheep and Corgis. My name is Kjrsten (Kay), and I am an engineer, a grandma, and a lifelong Corgi lover. My love for Corgis comes from everything that makes the breed so special: their intelligence, loyalty, humor, confidence, and big personalities packed into little bodies. (For more info and pictures, see Facebook and Instagram @sheepandcorgis) Our Corgis live with us on our sheep farm where they have room to run, explore, play, and experience the world around them. Life here gives our dogs and puppies the chance to grow up around family, grandkids, sheep, farm sounds, open space, and everyday activity. One of the things that makes Sheep and Corgis special is the natural enrichment our farm provides. Our sheep add entertainment, curiosity, and fun for both the Corgis and the sheep. Since Corgis were originally bred as herding dogs, they are naturally observant, smart, and interested in movement. We keep interactions safe and appropriate, while allowing the puppies to experience the sights, sounds, and smells of farm life. Our puppy socialization program is built into our daily routine. Puppies are gently introduced to new sights, sounds, smells, textures, people, handling, and age-appropriate experiences. They hear household and farm noises, experience safe outdoor spaces, meet family members, and become familiar with the rhythm of everyday life. As a breeder, I care deeply about health, temperament, structure, responsible pairings, DNA testing, AKC champion genetics, honesty, and thoughtful puppy placement. My goal is to raise Corgis who are healthy, confident, loved, and well-prepared for family life. Corgis are loyal, smart, playful, energetic, funny, and full of personality. They are not for everyone — they shed, they have energy, and they like to be involved in everything — but for the right family, they bring endless joy, laughter, and companionship. At Sheep and Corgis, we are proud to raise our puppies with love, purpose, and plenty of everyday life experience. Our hope is that each puppy leaves here ready to become a cherished member of their new family.
