About Lenny

Lenny is approximately 8 years old and around 50 pounds, and he's proof that some dogs just get better with age. When Lenny first arrived at the shelter, he wasn't feeling his best. Luckily, he was one of the fortunate pups who got to recover in a loving foster home—and now that he's healthy again, its safe to say he's stolen a few hearts. Lenny is the best of both worlds. Around the house, he's calm, easygoing, and incredibly well-mannered. He's fully housebroken, doesn't get into things he shouldn't, and will often tuck himself into his crate for a nap because he enjoys having his own cozy space. When its time to play, stuffed toys are his favorite. Step outside, though, and you'll see another side of him. His adorable little tortilla ears flap in the breeze as he happily explores the world. He loves greeting new people, has done wonderfully with the kids he's met, enjoys walking through downtown, and is always up for a hike with his foster. He walks beautifully on leash, although squirrels and other small critters are definitely worth a second look in his opinion. If he spots one, hell pull to investigate, and that's something his foster is continuing to work on with him.

Ideal Home

Lenny would thrive in a home that can offer both relaxation and adventure. He needs a home without cats, as he currently chases them in his foster home and enjoys it a little too much.

Ongoing Health

Lenny recovered from an illness and is now healthy.

Training & Support

Lenny walks beautifully on leash, but he will pull to investigate squirrels and other small critters. His foster is continuing to work on this with him.
