My name is Ginger, and it's fitting in many ways. I have beautiful, soft, gingery fur, and I'm a little ginger and spicy! I'm an active girl who's still learning my manners and always testing the bounds of right versus wrong – I am a puppy, after all! My favorite pastimes are playing fetch, wrestling with my Dachshund friend, and trying to catch that pesky water hose stream. I love to play with other dogs and would do best with ones who are tolerant and accepting of my energy. I'm also a super snuggler in between zoom sessions, so kids would be fine too! I even grew up around cats and chickens, though I like to bark and pounce at them to play, play, play! Continued positive reinforcement and redirection should help keep my herding instincts at bay with small animals. I am a very smart girl and highly food motivated, so I learn quickly. My foster mom is working on some fun tricks, and I've already mastered crate training. I'm also doing well with house training, usually only having accidents overnight, small puppy bladder and all. I am so ready for my forever home and a family to spice things up with!

I'd thrive in a home with an active family who can keep up with my energy and provide consistent training. I do well with other dogs and children.

Training & Support
I am crate trained and doing well with house training, though I still have occasional accidents overnight. I need continued positive reinforcement and redirection, especially around smaller animals like cats and chickens, to manage my playful pouncing and barking.
