Venus

Meet Venus! This lovely 5-year-old, spayed female Staffordshire Terrier/Lab mix is about 45 lbs of pure sweetness and fun. Venus is the kind of dog who melts your heart with her gentle affection, resting her head on your lap and looking at you like you're her whole world. She's a calm and people-oriented companion, happy to relax on the couch or join you for an adventure.

Venus enjoys playtime with other dogs and especially loves backyard zoomies with a buddy. She's a big fan of toys and her humans, often preferring to play with them over other pups. Her joyful "woofs" and zoomies are infectious! She also has a passion for water, happily splashing in kiddie pools or streams. Car rides are a breeze for Venus, making her an ideal road trip or park companion.

While Venus has shown a strong interest in chasing cats and a cat-free home is recommended, she has lived with other dogs and enjoys their company. She's still learning leash manners and can pull a bit, but she's a quick learner and very food motivated. Venus is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and can be trusted loose in the house. She has a healthy appetite and does best with a slow feeder to manage her meals. With older, respectful children who understand boundaries, Venus could be a wonderful addition to a family.

Ideal Home

Venus would thrive in a home where she is a true member of the family. She needs a home without cats, or one with very dog-savvy cats. A family with older, respectful children could be a good fit.

Training & Support

Venus is working on her leash manners and can pull, but is food motivated and learning quickly. She is house-trained, crate-trained, and trustworthy when left alone. She benefits from a slow feeder for meals.

• Transports run every few weeks; approved dogs will be on the next available transport.
• If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time.

Transportation

Venus is currently being fostered in Woodinville, WA. Out-of-state adoption is possible once an approved adopter is lined up, and transports run every few weeks.
