Nugget is a handsome Bully breed blend, approximately 2-3 years old and weighing 59 lbs. He ended up at the shelter through no fault of his own, after being rescued from a cruelty situation where he was severely underweight. Nugget has made incredible progress in our care and is now thriving! He's a happy, goofy boy who loves to play, especially with toys, and would make an excellent tug-of-war partner. He knows basic commands, is leash-trained, and is very food motivated, making him a great candidate for further training. Nugget has become fast friends with his kennel mate and enjoys off-leash doggy playgroups, so he would do wonderfully in a home with other dogs.

Ideal Home

Nugget would thrive in a home with another dog, but he would need to be fed separately. This is to help him learn that he will always be fed and doesn't have to worry about scarcity. He would also do well with respectful children. Nugget is not a good fit for homes with cats.

Ongoing Health

Nugget is vaccinated, altered, and micro-chipped. He has made an incredible recovery from his past hardships and is currently in good health.

Training & Support

Nugget knows basic commands and is leash trained. He is very food motivated and eager to learn, which will make training a breeze! He is not human food aggressive, but due to his past, he needs to be fed separately from other dogs.
