Victoria is a sweet and loving 5-year-old Husky mix who weighs around 48 lbs. She was rescued from the streets of Saltillo, Mexico, and is now thriving in a foster home. Victoria's past was tough, and she arrived severely malnourished with very few teeth remaining. Thankfully, with veterinary care and a loving environment, she has bounced back and is now a healthy, happy girl with a beautiful smile and a grateful heart. Despite her past mistreatment, Victoria is confident, noble, and incredibly affectionate. She loves cuddles, ear rubs, and has a playful spirit. She is crate and leash-trained and eager to please.
Ideal Home
Victoria would do best in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and long walks. Her ideal family will have an open mind and heart towards rescue animals, understanding their need for patience, education, and protection. Previous experience with dog behavior and training is a plus.
Ongoing Health
Victoria is spayed and up-to-date on all her vaccinations, including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella. She has been dewormed and tested negative for heartworm. She receives monthly preventative treatment for fleas, ticks, and heartworms. Victoria is missing most of her teeth, with only three molars visible. This is believed to be a result of severe malnutrition in her past.
Training & Support
Victoria has been crate and leash trained. She does need to eat in her crate to prevent food aggression with other pets. Her new family should be prepared to provide ongoing patience, love, and positive reinforcement as she continues to adjust and learn.
