This sweet little guy was found with an incredibly painful leg injury. As if that wasn't enough, he also tested positive for heartworm. But look at him now... leg repaired, heartworm treatment complete, healthy, happy, and so ready to find the family he's been waiting for. Happy is the cutest little floofy guy with long, silky hair and the sweetest soul. He's the kind of dog who may take a little time to settle in, but once he trusts you, he'll happily curl up beside you and become your little buddy. His biggest wish? A dog already in the home to be his bestie. Having a canine BFF has helped him build confidence and he loves following another dog's lead. As far as personality, he is more of a laid-back guy than a rough-and-tumble player — perfectly content hanging out with his buddies or relaxing in his favorite bed or crate, where he feels safe and secure. He's working hard on his leash skills and would do best in a quieter neighborhood rather than busy city life while he continues to gain confidence. Named after Happy, the New Year's baby, we think it's finally time for this special little guy to get the “happy ending” he deserves.
