REX, a.k.a Rexie the Bestie, a volunteer FAV

Meet Rex, affectionately known as Rexie the Bestie! This handsome 68lb Black Lab mix, estimated to be born in September 2020, is a bubbly and outgoing guy who absolutely adores playtime, tasty treats, and quality time with his people. He thrives on reassurance that he's a good boy and is guaranteed to shower you with kisses 24/7. Rex is a volunteer favorite, easily snuggling into laps despite his nearly 70lb frame, proving he's a true lap dog at heart!

Rex was rescued as a stray and has overcome a difficult past. He's now ready to find his forever family to share all the love he has to give. Rex has charmed everyone at adoption events, even accompanying volunteers to a local bar for an Astros watch party where he happily received hugs and kisses. He's also enjoyed dining out at dog-friendly restaurants with his best buddy Bambi, patiently lounging under the table.

Training & Support

Rex is kennel and potty trained. He is dog selective and friendly with females, and requires proper introductions to other dogs. He is eligible for 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.

Transporation

Rex is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included and pickup locations may vary, potentially including nearby towns or states. We coordinate with transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas. Adopters can track the van using the Life360 app and will receive updates. Facebook chats are also available for tracking.
