Meet Lessie, a gentle and shy girl who is ready for a second chance at happiness! Lessie was found tied to a fence at our shelter in Mexico, a sad beginning for such a sweet soul. Despite her past, she's wonderfully social with other dogs and truly thrives in their company. Our trainers have been working with her, and she's blossoming with newfound confidence, especially on the leash – she's a dream to walk! The bustling shelter environment can be a bit overwhelming for her, making her a little nervous initially. She's searching for a patient and experienced adopter who can help her feel secure and safe in her forever home.
Ideal Home
Lessie would be happiest in a quiet, calm, and predictable environment. She'd do best in a home with teens or adults, as young children can be a bit much for her. A spacious yard, a ranch, or an active household that enjoys hiking would be perfect for her adventurous spirit. Having another friendly dog in the home would be a wonderful bonus for her, as she loves canine companionship.

Transporation
Lessie is located near Bucerias, Mexico. We facilitate adoptions to the US and Canada. Approved adopters will be matched with volunteer flight companions ("flight angels") traveling from Puerto Vallarta to meet you at the airport. If a Canadian flight angel is unavailable during the summer months, transport to Peace Arch Park at the US-Canada border can be arranged. Our dedicated volunteers have successfully assisted with these border transfers, ensuring that adoptions continue to move forward smoothly.
