Gustav is a playful and polished 3½-year-old terrier/Lab mix with a big personality and an even bigger love for fun! He’s a very dog-friendly boy who thrives in playgroups, where he loves to romp around with his canine pals. His favorite game is pretending to play fetch—he’s all about the chase, even if the “bringing the ball back” part still hasn’t clicked. Gustav is a goofy, chunky boy who adores snacks (maybe a little too much). Interactive toys are his jam… at least until he gets too hangry—then all brain power disappears, and he’ll let you know with dramatic whining and cries of disapproval.
Ideal Home
Gustav loves to play and would likely enjoy a home with another dog to romp with. He can get a bit too enthusiastic about snacks, so a home that can manage his food motivation with interactive toys would be great!

Training & Support
Gustav is still working on the "fetch" part of fetch, but he loves the chase! He also has a dramatic flair when he's hungry, so understanding his cues and providing him with interactive toys can help him manage his hangriness. He's a rescue dog who will benefit from continued training efforts and a loving, understanding family.

Gustav is available for transportation in VA, PA, CT, VT, NY, UT, ID, OR, TX, WA, TN, KY, IN, IL, WI, MN & OH. Transportation ranges from $100-500 to predetermined locations and times. Custom transport routes and destinations are available upon request and require financial responsibility from the adopting family. He can also be picked up at our Angleton, TX location for $75, which includes all vetting.
