Edgar

Edgar is a handsome, 6-year-old orange and white Setter with a heart of gold. He lived outside with his mom for most of his life and has learned to love his independence. Edgar is a gentle soul who is a little unsure when meeting new dogs but will warm up with slow introductions and plenty of space. He loves a structured routine and will happily go to his crate for a meal. Edgar is an excellent co-pilot and loves car rides. He looks to his person for guidance when he's out of his comfort zone and has a solid "come" command when in a secure yard. Given his high prey drive, a home without cats is a must.

Ideal Home

Edgar would thrive in a home where he can be the center of attention, with older children or teens who can respect his reserved nature. A home without cats is a must due to his high prey drive.

Ongoing Health

Edgar had a cyst removed, and when it recurred, it was found to be Mast Cell. He will be under the treatment of an Oncologist.

Training & Support

Edgar needs a little more leash practice. He has a solid "come" command when in a secure yard. A structured routine is key to his happiness.
