Bullseye is a 6.5-month-old male Retriever/Pit Bull mix with an estimated DOB of January 2026. He currently weighs 40 pounds and is expected to be a large dog when fully grown. This sweet boy was rescued from a rural dumping area in Texas with his mother and littermates. He's described as the strong, silent type – introverted and observant, but once he's ready, he loves to cuddle and play. Bullseye enjoys dinnertime, belly rubs, scratches, and romping with his siblings. He's gentle, thoughtful, and has a calm presence, making him a loyal companion with a soft heart and an easygoing personality. He's past the tiny puppy stage and is becoming a wonderful companion, enjoying both play and settling down.
Ideal Home
Bullseye would thrive in a home that can provide ongoing positive reinforcement, consistency, and continued leash practice to help him mature into an exceptional adult dog. He would benefit greatly from continued socialization with new people, places, sounds, and friendly dogs to build lifelong confidence. We prefer homes that already have another friendly, well-mannered dog to help mentor and guide Bullseye, though we are open to hearing your plan for socialization if you do not currently have a resident dog. Because Bullseye is still young, we prefer homes where someone isn't routinely away for more than four to six hours at a time to ensure he gets regular potty breaks, exercise, enrichment, training, and human interaction.
Ongoing Health
Bullseye has no known health conditions and has received all age-appropriate vaccinations and treatments.
Training & Support
Bullseye is potty trained, though a few accidents should be expected as he adjusts to a new routine. He has spent time in a crate and is continuing to build confidence with leash walking and basic obedience. Continued positive reinforcement, consistency, and leash practice are recommended. He also benefits from ongoing socialization.
