Chocolate — Sweet, Loyal Survivor Ready for His Forever Family | Transport Available Nationwide
Hi, I’m Chocolate! My name was given to me by the kind people at the vet clinic who met me right after I was rescued. They said that even though I was scared and sick at the time, I was still incredibly gentle and loving. That’s how I became Chocolate — a name that now reminds me of my second chance at life. My journey started out very difficult. One hot day I was tied to my owner’s bicycle with a shoestring. I could barely breathe and my paws were barely touching the ground. Thankfully, a kind woman noticed what was happening and rushed over to help me. She untied me and even paid my owner so she could take me somewhere safe. That moment changed everything. At first I was confused and sad because my old owner was the only life I knew. But I quickly learned what kindness and real love feel like. Now I live with two wonderful foster moms who treat me like family. I even have a sweet human sister who gives me lots of kisses. For the first time I learned what it feels like to sleep in a soft bed. I discovered toys (which I love!), and I even get homemade chicken sometimes — which is amazing! I also get to play with my foster siblings while we all wait for our forever homes. I love running and playing, especially with my foster sister Moom. I’m a very affectionate boy who enjoys cuddles, kisses, and being close to my people. I’m fully potty trained and love my crate — it’s my cozy little space where I feel safe and comfortable. I feel safe and loved now, but my foster moms tell me that somewhere out there is a special person just waiting for a dog like me. Someone who wants a loyal companion with a big heart. Could that person be you? If you’re looking for a loving, devoted dog who will be your best friend for life, I’m here waiting and hoping my forever family finds me soon.
