Lana (20241218-04)

Lana is a 2-year-old, 50-pound female Black Mouth Cur mix with a beautiful tan coat accented with white and black markings. She's already spayed and ready to find her forever home! Lana is a sweetheart who was found by our volunteers being fed by residents at a retirement community. She's currently in a foster home with five other dogs and is doing wonderfully. She enjoys playing with toys and other dogs, and has a medium energy level that balances nicely with her love for playtime.

Ideal Home

Lana would love a home with a yard, but it's not a dealbreaker as she enjoys walks. She also likes playing with other dogs, but doesn't require a canine companion. She might be able to adapt to apartment living in a quieter community, provided she gets plenty of regular exercise.

Ongoing Health

Lana has no known health conditions and is spayed.

Training & Support

Lana is house-trained and crate-trained (a 42" crate is recommended). She's doing well with leash training and is even better with a harness. She does not bark unnecessarily, is not destructive, and has shown no issues with food aggression with humans or other dogs. She rides well in the car.

Transporation

Lana is currently located in Texas. She will travel to the Niagara Region once an appropriate adopter or local foster is found. Meet & greets for dogs in Ontario will only be arranged once an adoption application is approved.
