Murphy

Murphy is an 11-year-young, 8-pound bundle of joy with a happy and friendly disposition, despite his special needs. This sweet boy has severe deformities in his back knees that cannot be repaired, meaning he'll need lifelong joint supplements and pain medication. But don't let that fool you – Murphy gets around quite well and even has a sprint in him! He's incredibly loyal once he gets to know you, always ready to greet you at the door, snuggle on the couch, and stay close by your side.

Ideal Home

Murphy would thrive in a home with carpet or rugs, as slippery floors can be a challenge for him. He needs a fenced yard to safely enjoy his exercise. An adult-only home with a calm environment is preferred.

Ongoing Health

Murphy requires lifelong joint supplements and pain medication due to severe deformities in his back knees. He is up to date on vaccinations and current on flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives. He has recently undergone significant weight loss and had dental surgery.

Training & Support

Murphy is impeccably house-trained. He can be a bit pushy with other dogs initially, so he'd do best with small, non-hyper, elderly dogs who don't mind his introductions.
