STYMIE

Stymie is an approximately 8-year-old, 65lb mellow gentleman with a playful spirit! He was initially found during street outreach more than a year ago, cared for by many in his community. He eventually made his way to Downey Shelter, where he was rescued and brought to our care. Stymie loves to go on hikes, enjoy car rides, and engage in training sessions. He's eager to learn and wants to please, making him a great companion for an experienced dog owner who can offer clear structure and leadership.

Ideal Home

Stymie would do best with an experienced dog owner who can provide him with consistent structure and leadership. He is not recommended for homes with children.

Ongoing Health

Stymie is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Stymie is crate-trained and knows basic commands. He is eager to learn and wants to please, so continued positive reinforcement training will help him thrive.
