Meet Malouk! This distinguished gentleman is a 12-year-old, 85 lb German Shepherd with a heart as big as his paws. Malouk came to us under sad circumstances after his person passed away and he hadn't been receiving the care he deserved. Now, this sweet senior is ready to embark on his next chapter, seeking a home where he can be cherished and showered with the love he so richly deserves.

Malouk is blind, but his spirit shines brighter than ever! He navigates the world with incredible resilience and still finds joy in life's simple pleasures: leisurely walks, cozy naps, and, of course, plenty of treats! Occasionally, a playful spark will even light up his eyes. He's incredibly friendly with people and has a particular soft spot for children, making him a wonderfully gentle presence.

Ideal Home

Malouk thrives in a calm, low-key environment where he can feel safe and settled. He'd be perfectly content as the sole focus of your affection, but he also does well with calm, respectful dogs and cats who understand his unique needs.

Ongoing Health

Malouk is a resilient senior who is blind. He can experience some anxiety, but he does very well with calming medication and a consistent environment.

Training & Support

Malouk is potty trained, though he may mark indoors. Belly bands have been an effective solution. He will also need continued leash training, as he can pull, especially when excited or unsure. He finds comfort in his crate and does best when crated while alone.
