Bourbon is a handsome boy, born in May 2024, who can be a little reserved at first, much like a good bourbon. With patience and understanding, his warm and sweet personality will begin to shine through. He finds comfort in the company of other dogs and enjoys following their lead, so a confident canine companion in his forever home would be a great asset to help him build confidence and feel secure. Bourbon came to us alongside his mama and her newborn puppies after they had been living outside. His mama is a Chihuahua, and his dad is described as the neighbor’s scruffy white dog, giving Bourbon his adorable and unique look. Because of his past, he will need continued patience and guidance as he adjusts to life as a cherished family member. Bourbon is also considered a flight risk and will need a home committed to careful introductions, secure fencing, and extra precautions to help keep him safe as he continues to gain confidence. Beneath his cautious exterior is a sweet boy who deserves the chance to relax, feel secure, and know what it means to be truly loved.

Bourbon was born in May 2024. He will have had a health exam completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of adoption. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention.
