Penelope

Penelope is a resilient 46 lb female Pit Bull Terrier mix with beautiful brown eyes that seem to hold a thousand stories. She arrived with open wounds, missing fur, and in very poor condition. Initially, she was terrified and unsure of everything, but with time and care, she's been coming out of her shell day by day, revealing a sweet and loving personality. Once Penelope knows you, she'll jump up for hugs and attention, and she greets her bestie club with wiggles and excitement. She has been cautious of men initially, but she's getting better each day.

Ideal Home

Penelope would do best in a home without small children. She will need a patient adopter who is willing to help her feel safe and possibly work through some of the things that still scare her.

Ongoing Health

Penelope is heartworm negative. Her adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations, and deworming.

Training & Support

Penelope knows how to sit and take her treats gently. She is smart and eager to learn new things. She is friendly and playful when greeting other dogs and curious when introduced to cats.
