Titan

Titan is a loving, playful, and somewhat anxious 7-year-old neutered male German Shepherd Dog. He was born on March 15, 2017, and is healthy with up-to-date vaccinations. Titan enjoys fetching balls, playing tug-of-war, and searching for toys or treats. He also loves to swim, especially when chasing a ball. Titan was adopted by his person, Jeff, when he was just two months old and they share a very close relationship. However, due to conflicts with Jeff's young children, Titan is seeking a new home.

Ideal Home

Titan needs a home without children under 12 years old, as he can get overly excited and nip if young children are playing and yelling. He is okay with strangers when properly introduced but can be nippy if unfamiliar people move too quickly near him. Titan is not a fan of small dogs, but may do well with another confident dog if properly introduced and after careful, neutral-ground introductions. He might also do okay with a dog-savvy cat, but his interactions with the current cat are limited and controlled, as he tends to chase.

Ongoing Health

Titan is healthy and up-to-date on core vaccinations. He does exhibit some anxiety-type behaviors, including chasing light reflections and a fear of thunder. He also paces and whines during car rides, especially at slower speeds, and becomes extremely anxious if left alone in the car.

Training & Support

Titan has received considerable professional training and walks well on a leash, obeying multiple commands. He has good recall except when distractions are present. While housetrained and comfortable in a crate, his people allow him the run of the house when they are away. He sleeps on a dog bed next to his people's bed. Titan's anxiety may require patient understanding and management.
