CARLTON

Carlton is an 89-pound, 2-year-old male Belgian Shepherd with a heart of gold and a spirit of adventure! He's been patiently waiting at the Delano Animal Shelter since December 5, 2024, for his perfect match. This big, handsome boy is not only a looker but also a social butterfly. He's currently housed with a female German Shepherd named Hope, and they are the best of friends, showing no signs of food aggression or dominance. They truly are like two peas in a pod, and if you're considering adopting a bonded pair, Carlton and Hope would be a dream come true! Carlton has also shown his wonderful temperament in a group setting with other dogs, proving himself to be a confident and well-mannered boy. He's ready to be an excellent guardian and loyal companion in any loving home.

Ideal Home

Carlton would thrive in a home that can appreciate his loyalty and protective nature. While he gets along wonderfully with other dogs, his behavior with children and cats is unknown, so a home without them may be best.

Ongoing Health

Carlton is neutered and up-to-date on his rabies and DAPP vaccines. He is also microchipped, ensuring he can always find his way back home.

Training & Support

It is currently unknown if Carlton is house or crate trained. Consistent training and positive reinforcement will help him settle in and continue to be the well-mannered boy he already is.
