Barkus Aurelius Roman, affectionately known as Aurelio, is a charming 4-month-old Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever mix with a heart full of love and a regal name to match! He's a goofy, affectionate puppy who dreams of finding his forever kingdom. Aurelio's stunning creamy tan coat and mesmerizing icy blue eyes are sure to capture your attention, and his soulful gaze, floppy ears, and sweet puppy face will undoubtedly steal your heart. As the only boy in his litter, he's a true gentleman who cherishes being part of the family's activities, whether it's playtime, cuddling, or simply being included in daily adventures.
Aurelio thrives on a structured routine, which includes meals, play sessions, crate time, potty training, and naps. He's a quick learner, especially when it comes to commands, and is highly food-motivated, making training a rewarding experience. He's making great progress with his crate and potty training and is learning valuable lessons in patience and impulse control.
Ideal Home
Aurelio would thrive in a home where he can be included in family activities. He's learning to navigate interactions with other dogs and would benefit from slow, supervised introductions to new canine friends. Introductions to cats and young children should also be slow and supervised, as he has not had prior exposure. He is still working on not jumping when excited.
Ongoing Health
Aurelio is a healthy puppy. All necessary vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention, and microchipping, is up-to-date.
Training & Support
Aurelio is working on his jumping when excited and will continue to blossom with consistency, positive reinforcement, and lots of encouragement. His training will be an ongoing journey, as is typical for any puppy.

Aurelio is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue's USDA-certified transport system, ensuring safe and comfortable travel with 24/7 care. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You can track your pet's journey in real-time and receive photo updates. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
