Peaches

Meet Peaches! She's an approximately 2-year-old, 55lb Black Mouth Cur mix with a heart full of love. Peaches' journey to us was a tough one; she was found in a shelter down south when her owner was incarcerated. Thankfully, compassionate individuals rescued her and brought her to HWM, where she's now safe and sound and looking for her forever family.

Ideal Home

Peaches is a high-energy girl who will thrive with an adopter who is committed to providing her with plenty of exercise and daily walks. While a fenced yard isn't a requirement, she'll need an active lifestyle. She has done well with other dogs and adults in her foster home, but she has not yet been exposed to cats or small humans, so a home without them would be best.

Ongoing Health

Peaches is currently heartworm positive, but please don't let this discourage you! The rescue is covering her treatment, and potential adopters will have a discussion with our medical team to ensure they fully understand the process before meeting her.

Training & Support

This sweet girl is already crate trained and housebroken. Her foster mom notes that she walks wonderfully on her harness and could even be a great jogging companion. Peaches is eager to please, food-motivated, and very affectionate, making her a joy to train.
