Ohhhh my goodness! Do we have a treat for you! Meet Samson! The handsome, water loving, curly tail wagging, most affectionate guy ever! He is a young, gorgeous canine who won't be available for long! We believe Samson is a lab mix of some sort, around 2 years old and approximately 72 pounds. As a rescue, his age and breed are our best guesses and cannot be guaranteed. He's a true Texas special, and those are the best kind of rescue breeds! Samson loves to make a splash and would thrive in a home that appreciates water activities. He's also very dog friendly and enjoyed playing with other dogs of various temperaments during his visit to Rustic, especially those with high energy who wanted to race around the yard. Samson is a natural runner and would do well with medium to high-energy dogs that also know when to settle down. When it comes to kitties, Samson is ready for a challenge and will invite them to play, so we recommend a home without feline friends. He's incredibly affectionate and loves to be by your side or in your lap, and he was a perfect gentleman with a 5-year-old visitor, happily taking treats. Samson would do great in a home with older children who understand how to properly enrich a big boy like him.
Ideal Home
Samson needs a yard to live his best life and would do best in a home with a fenced yard rather than an apartment lifestyle. He would love to join you on all your water adventures, whether it's the lake, beach, or pool. A home without feline friends is recommended due to his playful nature with cats.
Ongoing Health
All vetting is up to date, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines. He has received multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments and flea prevention. He is also microchipped with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Samson is a natural born runner and would make a great running buddy. He enjoys walks and hikes. He is ready to share many memories with his forever human.

Transporation
We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA certified transport system. This includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. For Canadian adopters, pickup is available in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. You can track your pet's journey in real-time with photo updates and connect with fellow adopters via a private Facebook event page. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs.
