Pet Location: Wayside Waifs

My Friends at Wayside say: -I am enrolled in Puppy Posse. In this program, volunteers and staff work with me on basic obedience training, leash skills, and socialization. My adoption comes with 35% off my first Wayside Waifs Public Training Class.
-New people and things make me a nervous. Let’s take things slow!

My home needs are: -If you have kids in the home 9 years old and younger, I will need to meet them since I can be nervous around new people and loud noises.
-Wayside recommends you bring your dog to meet me before adoption to ensure we can be buddies.

Hi, I'm Viper,

I know that is kind of a silly name for me. I don't look a thing like a viper! I am a somewhat fearful 3 month old puppy. I would benefit from continued appropriate socialization. If you promise to help me grow into a well-rounded adult dog, I promise to return the favor with lots of snuggles, kisses, and play time with toys!

I got to spend a week or so in foster. It was nice to be out of the shelter. The shelter is a scary place. They said I did really well. I prefer to be able to go in my kennel as I want. I slept in my crate but prefer it dark/covered. Otherwise, I will let you know about it!

I am now sitting when asked. Isn't that smart of me?? I'm still working on the potty training. I can be shy/fearful and touch sensitive. If you have kids under 9, I need to meet them so I can be ok being with them in a home. I might need some help with managing interactions in little ones as I have never been around them.

At the shelter it was noted that I am under socialized with other dogs. I was avoidant of other dogs and would benefit from a slow introduction. I will need slow introductions to polite dogs to help me gain confidence in my dog-to-dog interactions. When you come meet me, can you bring your dog so that we know we can be friends?
