About Magpie

This sweet girl is a 10-month-old Pittie mix who currently weighs 35 pounds. She came to North Paw Rescue from the local animal shelter, where she had been for nearly a month. We don't know what her life consisted of prior to being found on the streets of Rochester. But now she is finally getting the chance to experience what it means to be a puppy, she's discovering all the fun the world has to offer, and she's making up for lost time! Since being with us, Magpie has never met a stranger. She loves everyone she meets and is always ready to make a new friend. Her favorite things include squeaky toys, zooming around the yard with her foster dog brother, and, of course, soaking up all the belly rubs she can get! One of her cutest habits is flopping right onto her back the moment she thinks pets are coming her way! She's been great with kids, lives with an elementary-aged child, and adores being part of the action. Magpie loves playing with other dogs and would likely enjoy having another dog in her forever home to romp around with. She hasn't met any cats yet, but she's hoping to soon! If you're looking for a loving, goofy best friend who's ready to embrace every new adventure life has to offer, Magpie might just be your perfect match. All she needs is a family to continue showing her how wonderful life outside the shelter can be.

Ideal Home

Magpie would do best in a home with older children who can enjoy her playful energy, as she can get a little jumpy and overly excited.

Ongoing Health

Magpie's adoption fee is $600. This adoption fee includes her alteration, a microchip, her rabies, bordetella, and age-appropriate DAPP vaccines, flea/heartworm preventative, and a deworming treatment while in foster care.

Training & Support

Like any puppy, Magpie is still learning. She's making great progress with potty training, though she'll sometimes drink more water than she needs, so monitoring her water intake helps prevent accidents while she continues to build good habits.
