He's the kind of dog who treats life like a cozy Sunday afternoon... all day, every day. Barney is estimated to be around 4 years old and weighs about 60 lbs. He looks like a bulldog/staffie mix with that perfectly smooshy, huggable build. Barney has mastered the art of being chill. His foster describes him as easygoing, affectionate, and wonderfully low-key. He lives with multiple dogs of all sizes and ages and gets along beautifully with everyone, happily coexisting and minding his own business like the unbothered king he is. Barney doesn't need the spotlight. He's more of a "I'll be right here if you need me" kind of companion. He's confident and loving with people, happy to accept affection (especially if it comes in the form of a good booty scratch). He greets the world with a calm curiosity, takes everything in stride, and if something isn't his vibe, he simply turns away and carries on.

Barney would thrive in a home that appreciates a slower pace and doesn't expect playful, high-energy antics. He prefers calm companions who respect his space and aren't looking for a wrestling partner. Barney is not a cat guy so a cat-free home will be needed. He would do best in a home without lots of stairs due to his sturdy build and low-to-the-ground frame.

Barney is located in Texas and transport is available nationwide through our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Drop off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. For Canadian adopters, pick up is in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT. A $87 surcharge applies for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
