Kris arrived at our rescue in early December, having lived as a stray near the Florida/Georgia border. A kind individual provided her and other dogs with food and shelter, but sadly, after their passing, a group of compassionate people intervened to ensure these pups were safe and could find loving forever homes. Kris, who had likely never been handled before coming to us, is still adjusting to the comforts of domestic life, which can be a little scary for her. However, with patience and time in her foster home, she's beginning to bloom! She absolutely adores her canine siblings, has discovered the joy of soft couches and cozy beds, and is learning that quiet companionship with her humans can be a wonderful thing.
Ideal Home
Kris would thrive in a calm, patient home environment. She needs a confident and friendly resident dog who can help guide her as she learns the ropes of being a beloved pet. Her ideal human understands that building trust takes time and is content to let Kris be a part of the family from a distance initially, without any pressure or expectations.
Ongoing Health
Kris's adoption fee includes her spay surgery, microchip and registration, all core vaccines to date, dewormer, and her first month of flea and heartworm preventatives.
Training & Support
Kris is still learning about leashes and can be unsure about excessive petting or affection, but she's progressing at her own pace. Her new family should be prepared to continue offering her patience and understanding as she gains confidence.
