A little about them
LIMA is a playful, affectionate 10-month-old Lab Mix who loves making friends, giving hugs and kisses, and spending time with people who show her kindness. She weighs 34.8 pounds and is currently in Mexico City. After a difficult start, she is ready for a patient, loving forever home where she can feel safe and continue building confidence.
Ideal Home
LIMA would thrive with an affectionate, active adopter who enjoys a social, playful dog. She has been friendly with dogs, cats, and children, though older children are best suited because she can still be mouthy as a puppy. An adult should supervise interactions and advocate for her space. Slow, calm introductions help her warm up to new people. Her prey drive around animals such as squirrels and rabbits is unknown.
Ongoing Health
LIMA is spayed and vaccinated, and she will come to Canada with vaccine and test records. She currently has no known health issues, and no allergies have been detected. She has small scars on her head from her past and is taking vitamins to support her coat and fur regrowth. She will be tested for heartworm and other conditions before flying to Canada. Future veterinary and dental costs are the adopter’s responsibility.
Training & Support
LIMA’s house training is a work in progress. She is excited and sometimes jumps up, pulls, and becomes distracted on walks, so she needs continued leash training and positive reinforcement. A well-fitted harness, frequent potty breaks, and patient guidance will help her succeed. Her adopter should be prepared to continue training and help her develop confidence.
