About Gracie

Gracie has the sweetest personality to match her sweet, sweet face!! This girl loves to chill with you on the couch, play a game of tug, or relax in the yard soaking up the sunshine! She also loves to go for walks! She is really good on the leash and doesn't do the usual beagle nose to the ground. She has her head up high but an occasional scent still gets her attention! Gracie is a true beagle who loves her food and it may show a bit in the fuller figure gal she is but this does not slow her down a bit. She meets people really well, loves ALL attention and does great with other dogs. This little cutie will settle right into home living with little difficulty at all! Gracie will be the best addition to her very lucky furever family!!

Gracie recently spent some time in one of our amazing foster homes. See what her foster had to say about her: Gracie has been a wonderful house guest! She gets along with all of the canine foster friends and is very respectful in the house. This gal loves going on many short walks to show off her beagle waddle and enjoyed walking in a pack of 4. She is a little bougie and loves to perch on the top of the couch like a cat and nest in the softest, fluffiest blankets she can find. However, if someone is in her bed/kennel, she will throw a fit to get them to move out! As a beagle with a discerning palate, she prefers wet food vs kibble. She will literally eat around every piece in her bowl; however, she loves pork products - bacon, ham, and salami. It's amazing how much she perks up once she smells it. She is the quietest beagle I've had the pleasure of fostering. She doesn't need much attention and seems to prefer quiet and calm vs chaos. She's a bit more mature and sophisticated and didn't have any interest in toys. Gracie would prefer to stroll in the yard and sniff as she pleased vs playing tag with the others. She seems to be house trained and crate trained when kept on a schedule. After spending the first few nights in the crate, the last half of her stay she would find a comfy spot on the couch to snooze through the night.
