Charlie is a sweet, energetic boy who found himself in a tough spot at a shelter and was sadly on the euthanasia list due to lack of space. Thankfully, he was given a second chance and is now ready to find his loving forever home. He's a Black Mouth Cur/Lab mix, weighing about 85-90 pounds, and is approximately 1½ years old. Charlie is full of life and absolutely adores playing ball, especially his favorite tennis balls, though he does enjoy a good game of keep-away! He's also a smart cookie, knowing commands like "heel," "sit," "come," "stay," "off," and "nice/gentle" when taking treats. He's still working on "down" but with his intelligence and eagerness to please, he could excel in advanced training.
Ideal Home
Charlie would thrive with an active single person, couple, or family who enjoys outdoor adventures and would welcome him as an excellent hiking or running partner. Due to his size and enthusiasm, he'd do best in a home with teenage children or adults, as he might accidentally knock over smaller children. He prefers female dogs over males and hasn't been cat tested, but his high energy might be too much for a feline friend. He is not to be kept on ties outs or be in a yard with electric fences.

Charlie is up to date on vaccinations and is heartworm negative.
Training & Support
Charlie is crate trained and fully potty trained. He's already mastered several commands and is eager to learn more, showing great potential for advanced training.
