Meet Tux Fancy Pants, the world's most dashing gentleman in a built-in tuxedo! With his shiny black coat, floppy ears, and a smile that could melt a glacier, Tux is the perfect blend of handsome, goofy, and heart-meltingly sweet. He's about a year and a half old and is a Lab/Pitty mix, essentially a walking ray of sunshine wrapped in fur. Tux is a lover, not a fighter; he's happiest when he's near his people, soaking up cuddles, belly rubs, and compliments. He's a total snuggle bug who thinks being close to you is the best thing ever, often leaning his whole body against you for pets or flopping onto his back for tummy scratches.
Ideal Home
Tux is hoping for a home with patient, loving humans who appreciate a little goofiness. He would be thrilled to have a calm, friendly canine buddy with good manners to hang with, someone who enjoys playing and romping in the yard. He would also do great with dog-savvy cats who don't mind a gentle nose boop now and then. Tux loves children and his sweet, patient, and goofy personality makes him a hit with the little ones. He needs a home with a fenced yard where he can stretch his legs and do his silly zoomies; apartments are not his ideal living situation.
Ongoing Health
Tux is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with a booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. He has also been tested for heartworm and will receive treatment if needed.
Training & Support
Tux is working on his leash skills and prefers open spaces over city sidewalks. He is potty trained and sleeps through the night, exhibiting excellent manners once settled in.

Transporation
Tux is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide using our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
