About Artie

Artie is a 3-year-old, spayed female Terrier mix weighing 32 pounds. She's a fun-loving, high-energy girl who is always ready for her next adventure, bringing enthusiasm and joy wherever she goes. Artie is incredibly smart, playful, and affectionate, and she absolutely loves people, greeting strangers with pure excitement and a wagging tail. She thrives in an active environment and will do best with a family that enjoys walks, playtime, and outdoor activities. Artie has done well with large dogs (50-100 lbs) in her foster home, though slow introductions are important. While she can be a little on edge initially and protective of her toys, she quickly backs off and has never escalated beyond that. She also recognizes when another dog is done playing. On leash, she may bark or pull when she sees other dogs, so continued training will help her polish those manners. Artie is house-trained and crate-trained, settling down in her crate after a bit of whining. She rides great in the car, handles stairs with no problem, and loves chewing on toys and cuddling up after a good play session. Artie is independent, outgoing, curious, and wonderfully silly, ready to make you laugh daily and then snuggle up beside you.

Ideal Home

Artie thrives in an active environment and will do best with a family that enjoys walks, playtime, and outdoor activities. A yard or open space to run would be a huge bonus. While she doesn't need another dog, she would likely enjoy a playful canine companion. Her ideal home would be active, patient, and ready to continue her training, especially helping her learn to settle calmly and share toys more comfortably.

Ongoing Health

Artie is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Artie is house-trained and crate-trained. On leash, she may bark or pull when she sees other dogs, so continued training will help her polish those manners. She should continue to be crated when left alone as she is curious and can get into things if unsupervised. Her ideal home will be patient and ready to continue her training, especially helping her learn to settle calmly and share toys more comfortably.
