Tigger Tiggy is the epitome of a soul dog! He absolutely adores his people and will greet you with a massive smile and a wagging tail within minutes of meeting you. He forms deep, loyal bonds and is looking for his forever person to share his life with. Tigger is also incredibly smart, with his intelligence fueled by a strong desire to please you. Tigger is believed to be a pittie mix, around 4 years old, and weighs 68 lbs. As with any rescue, we cannot guarantee breed or exact age.
Tigger is a social butterfly with other dogs! He's currently fostered with two male dogs and one female dog, and he's been a wonderful friend, even bringing out the "puppy" in the older resident dog. He takes a little time to warm up to new canine friends, appreciating a slow introduction to understand their play style and feel comfortable. He would do best with a female dog who is patient and allows him to settle in at his own pace. Once he's comfortable, expect to see them sunbathing, napping, and playing together! Tigger also showed remarkable respect around the foster's cat, Biggie, and was not bothered by him. We can arrange a cat sleepover to ensure a good fit for your feline friends!
Ideal Home
Tigger is a smart cookie who already knows commands like "sit" and "down." He's crate trained, potty trained, and walks beautifully on a leash, responding well to gentle corrections. His recall is fantastic – just call his name (especially in a silly voice!) and he'll come running with his adorable "happy paw" dance. He has experience with children aged 6-12 and has done wonderfully with them, making him a great potential family dog. While he could adapt to apartment living with sufficient exercise, his absolute favorite would be a home with a fenced-in backyard where he can explore, zoom, and enjoy all the outdoor scents and sunshine. He's happy as long as he's with his people, whether that's snuggling on the couch, going on adventures, or even being your work-from-home buddy.
