Buddy Bee #7179

Lucie Bee is a 2-year, 7-month-old, 68lb Golden Retriever, and her best friend Buddy is a 3-year, 8-month-old, 50lb Border Collie/Akita mix. These two came to us after their family experienced a heartbreaking loss, and through all the change, they've held tightly to each other. They are wonderfully bonded and deeply connected, truly like peanut butter and jelly!

Buddy is the charming, social, and loving one of the pair. He doesn't know a stranger and believes everyone he meets is a friend. He's the more outgoing half of this duo, bringing happy, easy warmth wherever he goes. Lucie is Buddy's beautiful golden sidekick. She's a little softer and more sensitive at first, but once she settles in, she's a wonderful companion. If Buddy is the social butterfly, Lucie is the sweet soul who quietly lets her lovely personality shine. She draws comfort from Buddy's presence, and he's very happy to oblige! They balance each other perfectly, with Buddy bringing confidence and Lucie a gentle heart, both offering a whole lot of sweetness.

Ongoing Health

Lucie is facing a medical hurdle. After arriving with difficulty bearing weight on a back leg, she was diagnosed with a torn CCL and will require surgery. GRRAND will be looking for a medical foster for Lucie during her recovery.

Training & Support

Buddy and Lucie have already been through a great deal, but they still have so much love to give.
