Meet Rowan, a tiny gentleman who's as sweet as he is handsome! This approximately 1.5-year-old, 39-pound pup is a wonderful mix of what we suspect is Lab and Pittie, with an adorable compact build and floppy ears that add to his charm. Rowan is a gentle, quiet, and sensitive soul. He prefers to observe new people and environments from a distance at first, taking his time to feel safe and comfortable. Once he trusts you, he'll quietly offer his companionship, making those moments feel extra special. He's the perfect dog for someone who appreciates a calm presence and the reward of earning a shy dog's affection.
Ideal Home
Rowan would thrive in a calmer environment with patient people who understand that shy dogs need time and space to decompress and build trust. A home with a yard and a quieter setting would be ideal, as busy apartment living might feel overwhelming for him. While he hasn't been officially tested with children, older, calm kids would likely be the best fit. We can conduct a kid-test for interested adopters.

Training & Support
Rowan is a sensitive dog who needs patience as he builds trust. He is not demanding of attention and prefers a quiet existence. He was respectful and easygoing with other dogs during his assessment, showing a calm demeanor. We provide extensive behavioral testing and information from our trainers to help ensure a successful match and offer support for your new companion.

Transportation
We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our USDA-certified transport system, ensuring safe and comfortable travel for all pets. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. For Canadian adopters, pick-up locations are in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. Please note that Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs.
