Nala

Nala is a 4-year-old girl who will celebrate her 5th birthday in June. She's a sweet dog who has had some challenging experiences, leading to her current need for a new home. Nala was scared during a vet visit when she was spayed, and the staff there perceived her fear as aggression. She also had an incident where she barked at a neighbor's horse, and while she was reported to have bitten the horse, there was no evidence, and the case was dropped. Nala can bark at unfamiliar people and may try to run away, but she has never bitten anyone. She would love a home where she can play fetch and tug-of-war and receive plenty of love and attention. She has been great with children in the past but does play a bit rough, using her whole body.

Ideal Home

A loving home with plenty of time for play and affection. Given her past experiences, a patient owner who can help her feel safe and secure would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Nala is currently behind on her vaccinations by 6 months to a year.

Training & Support

Nala needs some walking training as she tends to pull on the leash. She would likely do well as a guard dog due to her protective nature.
