Meet Woodland Brittanys. Woodland Brittanys was established in 2000. After more than 25 years of living with and competing with Brittanys, we are firm believers in quality over quantity, and breed very occasionally, and only after careful evaluation of pedigrees and rigorous health testing. We are proudly recognized as a Breeder of Merit by AKC. We also believe that our dogs belong in the BEST homes possible, so we’re picky about our puppy buyers. We welcome visitors (scheduled), and love introducing this great breed to new people. That said, they are NOT for everyone. They can be quite active, especially as youngsters and they DO shed. They are bred to find and point game birds (pheasant, quail, woodcock, grouse, chukar, etc). They also excel at obedience, rally, agility, and of course, pointing breed hunt tests and field trials, and make great hiking and running partners. They do best with an active family where they can spend lots of time with their people. We've been blessed with exceptional dogs throughout the years, having campaigned DC Britt Haven's Blaze of Glory to the #6 spot in the AKC on the Open Gun Dog rankings in Brittanys, FC/AFC Woodland's Money Pit the the #1 Open Gun Dog Bitch (all breeds), Woodland's Forrest Fire to #16 in the ring, piloting Dogwood Hollow's Woodland River Song to 3 National Awards of Merit, breeding and handling winners dog at the 2022 National Specialty Show, CH Woodland's Takeoff, breeding winners dog at the 2024 National Specialty show, CH Woodland's Rolling on the River, breeding best of winners (CH Woodland Dark Magic) and breeding and handling Best in Puppy Sweeps (CH Woodland's Dark & Stormy) at the Independent Specialty during National Specialty week, just to name a few.
