Meet Ashton! This handsome 4-year-old, 88-pound Yellow Labrador Retriever is a bundle of happy energy and a big personality to match! Ashton grew up in a loving home since he was a puppy, but unfortunately, his family had to move and could no longer keep him. This has been a big adjustment for him, but he's taking it all in stride and is ready for his next adventure. Ashton absolutely loves a good game of fetch – he'll happily bring the ball right back to you for another round! He enjoys being active and spending quality time with his people. While he's a strong boy who sometimes forgets his own size, he's incredibly sweet and has shown he can do well with other dogs.

Ongoing Health

Ashton is heartworm positive and will be undergoing treatment here at the shelter. It will be important for his new family to continue his monthly heartworm prevention and ensure he receives regular veterinary care to keep him healthy and happy for years to come.

Training & Support

Ashton is still learning to manage his enthusiasm and sometimes forgets how big he is. With a little patience and guidance, he'll surely blossom.
