Meet Orchid!
Orchid is a 2-year-old, 40lb Pitbull Terrier with a heart of gold and a spirit as gentle as can be. She's a bit shy and timid, especially in new situations or with loud noises, but her confidence is blossoming every day with love and reassurance. Orchid adores being close to her people and finds comfort in connection, making her the ultimate snuggle buddy. She does well with other dogs and would benefit from having a canine companion at home to help boost her confidence.
Ideal Home
A quieter home environment where she can feel safe and supported would be ideal for Orchid, especially as she continues to build confidence around cars and on leash. She will need another dog in the home to help her thrive.
Ongoing Health
Orchid has a slight limp from a past injury, but it doesn't stop her from enjoying life, including couch cuddles and occasional zoomies! She is also working on gaining weight after a challenging start and is doing wonderfully with consistent care and love. She is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, has been dewormed, spayed, microchipped, and is on monthly preventatives.
Training & Support
This smart girl is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and knows commands like "sit" and "come." While she's gaining confidence on leash, especially around traffic, a patient and supportive approach will help her succeed. We require that all adopters, regardless of the dog's age, are committed to ongoing training and socialization as part of responsible ownership.

- We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on dhpp/rabies and monthly preventatives, and cats must be altered and up to date on rabies).
- We also conduct a virtual home visit call.
