Meet Yeager! He's a tall, athletic, and incredibly handsome Doberman with boundless energy and a personality as big as his frame. Yeager is a complex guy, but what truly defines him is his obliviously happy nature. He's got that special kind of joy that comes with a carefree spirit, and while his processing power might be minimal, his chaotic vibes are off the charts!
To be clear, Yeager is a lot. He's not just a dog who needs a little training or has "puppy energy." He's a full-time project dog who is extremely happy, confident, and always ready to go. He's done well with cats and older kids, and he's selectively good with other dogs, particularly females and smaller to medium-sized males.
Ideal Home
Yeager needs experienced, active, and consistent human(s) who are committed to working with him and won't give up when he inevitably tests every boundary. Experience with Dobermans or other working breeds is strongly preferred. If you're looking for a chill, easy dog, Yeager might not be the best fit. However, if you're seeking a high-drive, chaotic, hilarious, frustrating, and incredibly rewarding project, Yeager is your guy!
Ongoing Health
No specific ongoing health conditions are mentioned in his description, but potential adopters should be aware of the need for deep-chested breed awareness due to his fast eating and immediate desire to sprint and jump.
Training & Support
Yeager is potty trained but will have accidents indoors and tends to mark. He doesn't always respect human correction and can learn patterns quickly to use them to his advantage, especially when food is involved. He rarely settles, especially around other animals, and his play can be intense. He also destroys beds, feeders, and anything not built for chaos. Yeager is not untrainable but is not intuitive, requiring someone experienced, structured, and committed to ongoing training. This is not a dog to "figure out as you go."
